IMDR College of Advanced Studies (I-CAS), Mylam Cheriyakonni, affiliated to the University of Kerala, will henceforth function as the Learner Support Centre (LSC) of Sree Narayana Guru Open University (SGOU). The two institutions have signed a MoU in this regard.
Based on the MoU, students will now have the opportunity to study through I-CAS for all the academic courses currently conducted by Sree Narayana Guru Open University. Those who wish to pursue further education can choose IMDR College of Advanced Studies as their Learning Support Centre (LSC).
Sree Narayana Guru Open University operates with the concept of “Education for All, Regardless of Age”. The university is expanding its services through various learning centers with the aim of making higher education more popular and accessible to all.
The MoU was signed by I-CAS Principal Dr. J. B. Rajan and SGOU Registrar Dr. Abhilash Babu at a function held at the headquarters of Sree Narayana Guru Open University in Kureepuzha, Kollam.
SGOU Vice Chancellor Dr. Jagathyraj, Syndicate members, I-CAS Chairman Dr. K. Sasikumar and Learner Support Center Coordinator Darshan Mohan were present at the function.
Established in 2020, Sree Narayana Guru Open University is the first state open university in Kerala. It is hoped that the activities of the university, which has been expanding its learning facilities to various parts of the state with the aim of making education accessible to all, will be further strengthened with the establishment of the I-CAS Learner Support Center.
